About the Role

The Senior Accountant plays a key role in supporting the Financial Controller in delivering strong financial operations, accurate reporting, and robust financial controls across the Group. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Accountant is responsible for managing core accounting activities, ensuring the integrity of financial data, and supporting month-end close, statutory compliance, and process improvements.

This role is integral to maintaining high standards across transactional finance, supporting audit readiness, and providing reliable financial information to enable business performance and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Month-End Close

• Support the delivery of accurate monthly management accounts through timely preparation of journals, accruals, Prepayments and reconciliations.
• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly and consistently.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Maintain General Ledger for India Branch Office through Tally Software, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly and consistently. Liaising with the Accountants for process of the Year End Audit, liaising with UK office for Audit Documents.

Transactional Oversight & Controls

• Oversee day-to-day accounting processes including accounts payable, receivable, and expense management.
• Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and support continuous improvement in processes.
• Assist in maintaining audit-ready documentation and supporting control testing.

Compliance & Statutory Support

• Support the Financial Controller with statutory reporting requirements, tax filings, and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with year-end accounts preparation and liaise with external auditors as required.
• Monitor accounting standards and ensure compliance with Group policies.

Cash Flow & Treasury Support

• Assist in monitoring cash flow, preparing liquidity updates, and supporting payment processes.
• Support bank reconciliations and help maintain strong treasury discipline.

Systems & Process Improvement

• Support the maintenance of finance systems and ensure accurate data entry and reporting.
• Contribute to finance process optimisation and support system enhancements or implementations.

Business Support & Analysis

• Provide financial information and analysis to support operational teams and decision-making.
• Assist with forecasting inputs and reporting packs where required.

Team Collaboration & Development

• Promote best practice, accountability, and continuous learning within the finance function.

Key Skills applicable to this role

Strong accounting knowledge with experience in month-end close and balance sheet management.

High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records in a dynamic environment.

Experience supporting audits, statutory compliance, and internal control frameworks.

Competence in finance systems and strong Excel-based reporting and reconciliation skills.

Proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence. Excellent experience of written and spoken English

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
