SDET Test Automation Engineer

As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for understanding the entire system end-to-end and being involved in every step of the software development process, including designing, development, and testing. Your key responsibilities will include: - Defining and implementing test strategy for complex end-to-end systems comprising the NCR solutions. - Defining and building test scenarios and acceptance tests. - Defining and developing test automation strategy and framework for testing multiple platforms like Web, Mobile, and Desktop by incorporating industry best practices. - Implementing Behavior Driven Development processes. - Creating and managing defects. - Applying engineering principles, data analysis best practices, and process knowledge to conduct root cause analysis of functional and non-functional defects. - Providing a detailed root cause analysis for a defect with log evidence to fix the problem and applying the fix. - Analyzing issues using software or application monitoring tools. - Collaborating with solution engineers, hardware engineers, software engineers, network engineers, and QA engineers. - Working within the SAFe methodology to implement and/or refine solution integration and test best practices. Basic Qualifications required for this role: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 5 to 6 years of experience/knowledge in testing in an enterprise environment. - Strong experience with the Retail industry and business. - Solid hands-on experience with JavaScript/C#. - Extensive experience in test automation of complex enterprise applications using PlayWright/Selenium/CodedUI, etc. - Hands-on expertise in developing BDD feature files, using Specflow/Cucumber assists. - Hands-on experience on API and Database testing and automation. - Experience of working with the "AGILE + DevOps" process management methodology. - Good understanding of software architecture with the ability to provide recommendations and strategy for non-functional testing initiatives. - A real problem solver with the ability to find opportunities for improvement and tackle them without external direction. - Strong personal accountability and ownership are required for this role.,
