SDET - (Python, Selenium Automation)

You will be joining Hitachi Vantara, a global data foundation trusted by innovators worldwide, where you will play a crucial role as a Specialist Software Quality Engineer within a fast-paced and highly collaborative engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, qualifying, and supporting scalable software applications and systems. Your primary focus will be on working closely with your scrum team members to translate requirements into test cases, functional specifications, technical designs, and implementations. - Lead and participate in defining, implementing, and testing user stories - Drive the technical direction for the testing of a complex data mobility system - Advocate strongly for the quality of the product by leading in the competency of your scrum team and the organization - Create, run, and maintain White Box and Black Box test suites to ensure regression coverage and software quality, with a particular emphasis on automation To excel in this role, you should bring: - Minimum of 6+ years of functional testing and automation experience - At least 3+ years of experience as a Test Lead - Strong understanding of functional test concepts, test metrics, and have worked on applications involving UI (Web or Windows) - Proficiency in Python, OO Concepts, and Database concepts - Experience in leading and managing teams of manual QA and Automation resources - Expertise in designing and developing frameworks (such as the page object model), test planning, strategy, and estimation Moreover, your skills should encompass: - Automation using tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, cucumber - Hands-on experience in API testing using tools like RESTClient, REST Easy, Postman, CURL, HTTPie, among others - Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments, application servers, CI/CD processes, and source control tools like GIT/SVN - Good grasp of software development lifecycles and methodologies, especially Agile/Scrum Having an educational background in computer science or a related field, such as a Bachelors or Masters degree, is required.
