Your new trajectory starts here at Launch. What are we looking for: We are seeking an experienced and results-driven SDET to oversee the quality assurance function within our IT Services division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and enforcing QA standards and ensuring that all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. Location: Chennai Experience: 10+ Years Employment Type: Full-time Key Responsibilities: QA Strategy & Planning Define and implement comprehensive QA strategies across multiple projects and clients. Establish and maintain testing standards, best practices, and QA metrics. Work with project and product teams to set quality objectives and testing timelines. Test Management Oversee the planning and execution of functional, regression, smoke, integration, and UAT testing. Ensure thorough test coverage and traceability of test cases to business requirements. Monitor testing progress, defect status, and release readiness. Strong programming/scripting skills in Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript. Hands-on experience with automation tools like Selenium, TestNG, Postman, REST Assured, etc. Hands on experience is working Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM) Defect Management Manage defect tracking and resolution processes. Collaborate with development teams to analyze root causes and resolve critical bugs. Review and analyze defect trends to implement corrective actions. Automation & Tools Identify areas for test automation and drive the implementation of automation frameworks and tools. Stay up to date with emerging QA tools and technologies. Oversee tool integration with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, Selenium, JIRA). Client & Stakeholder Engagement Serve as the primary point of contact for QA-related matters with internal and external stakeholders. Provide detailed QA reports, dashboards, and testing metrics. Ensure client expectations are understood, documented, and met consistently. Process Improvement & Compliance Promote continuous improvement of QA processes, eiciency, and test coverage. Ensure compliance with quality standards (e.g., ISO, CMMI) and organizational policies. Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and proactive issue resolution. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 8+ years of experience in software QA. Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Hands-on experience with test management and automation tools. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Experience in Agile/Scrum environments is preferred. Nice to Have: Knowledge of cloud-based testing, performance testing, and security testing. Certification in ISTQB or other QA frameworks. Experience working in client-facing or offshore/onshore delivery models.
