SDET III (Automation Lead Tester)

As a QA SDET 3 at Decathlon Sports India, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by designing, developing, and executing automated tests using Java, Selenium, SQL, and APIs. With 5-10 years of experience, you will be responsible for test strategy, planning, and execution for Web-based, Mobile, Desktop, and API applications. Your expertise in Functional Testing, Behavior Driven Development, and automation testing using tools like Selenium, Jenkins, and Postman will be instrumental in establishing testing as an integral part of the development process within cross-functional teams. You will collaborate with development teams to develop maintainable automated checks and bespoke automation frameworks across UI, APIs, and backend systems. Your role will involve detecting and reporting defects, conducting root cause analysis for production defects, and continuously improving the overall quality of our software applications. Additionally, you will contribute to POC on upcoming toolsets, participate in code reviews, and work on refactoring the existing framework as per requirements. Your hands-on experience in database testing using SQL queries, validation of APIs, and knowledge of testing methodologies, test techniques, and agile QA practices will be essential in ensuring the testability, maintainability, and performance of our software applications. You will drive sprints or releases to closure, write functional and technical documentation, and possess strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Preferred qualifications for this role include a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with certifications in software testing (ISTQB, CSTE) or test automation (Selenium WebDriver). Experience with cloud technologies, BDD, TDD, performance testing strategies, ETL/Database automation testing, unit testing frameworks, and DevOps will be advantageous.
