SDET - Hyderabad

At Deloitte, the SDET Specialist (Software Development Engineer in Test) will contribute to day-to-day quality operations by helping teams plan, design, test, deploy, and support technology solutions. The role combines manual testing, test automation, and analysis across the software development life cycle while partnering with business analysts, quality assurance analysts, software developers, Scrum teams, and onsite colleagues. You will help improve release readiness by translating requirements into test approaches, test cases, automated scripts, and production validation activities.

Work you'll do

As an SDET Specialist on the Quality Engineering team, you will be responsible for:

• Participate in day-to-day quality operation activities, including script development, analysis, automation, understanding requirements, and quality-improvement activities; understand requirements and discuss clarifications with business analysts.
• Participate in all stages of development, including planning, design, deployment, support, and testing, and apply hands-on technical knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle, Agile/Scrum project methodology, and Software Testing Life Cycle.
• Design and execute test cases and test scenarios; author, review, and execute test cases for user stories; and perform manual, functional, user interface, regression, and production testing for releases.
• Coordinate tasks and communicate with the Scrum team and onsite team; perform regression testing for each new application build across environments; and estimate release, capacity, and team velocity.
• Enhance the existing Selenium automation framework; develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright and Selenium tools, including Selenium IDE, Selenium WebDriver, and TestNG; and debug automation issues.
• Integrate Selenium and Tosca scripts with continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines, preferably using Azure DevOps (ADO); manage automation activities and stakeholder status; maintain test-result records and historical analysis; and work with quality assurance analysts and software developers to find solutions.

Team members collaborate with business analysts, developers, and delivery colleagues throughout the software delivery life cycle to help improve product quality and release readiness.

Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM IST

Qualifications

Required:

• Experience performing functional, user interface, regression, and manual testing for software applications.
• Experience designing, authoring, reviewing, and executing test cases and test scenarios for user stories.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts using Playwright and Selenium WebDriver with TestNG.
• Experience using C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Java to support test automation.
• Experience using Agile/Scrum delivery practices, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Experience testing web applications, including web elements and web element operations.
• Experience integrating automated test scripts with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

Preferred:

• Experience using Azure DevOps (ADO).
• Experience with Selenium Grid and Cucumber.
• Experience using Tosca.
• Experience conducting production testing for software releases.
• Experience estimating release effort, team capacity, and team velocity.
• Experience maintaining test-result records and generating historical test-result analysis.
