Job Title : Scrub Nurse – Cath Lab Location: Sunrise Hospital Pala - Ponkunnam Rd, Kaduvamuzhi, Erattupetta, Kerala 686121 Department : Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) Employment Type : Full-Time Number of vacancies : 1 Qualification & Requirements : GNM / B.Sc. Nursing with valid Nursing Council registration. 1 years of experience as a scrub nurse in Cath Lab or Operation Theatre (mandatory for senior roles). Knowledge of cardiac procedures, sterile techniques, and emergency protocols. Strong understanding of infection control and patient safety practices. Key Responsibilities: Assist cardiologists during invasive procedures such as angiography, angioplasty, pacemaker/ICD implantations, and electrophysiology studies. Prepare and maintain the sterile field and scrub in for all procedures. Ensure all necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies are ready and sterile before each case. Monitor and support patient safety and comfort during procedures. Handle specimens, medications, and equipment in compliance with hospital standards. Ensure proper post-procedure cleaning, sterilization, and turnover of the cath lab. Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, inventory, and incident reports. Collaborate with the cath lab team for emergency response during complications. Preferred Skills: Experience working in NABH or JCI-accredited hospitals. Familiarity with cath lab equipment and cardiac drugs. Calm, organized, and responsive in high-pressure environments. Basic computer skills for electronic documentation.
