The overall purpose of this position is to ensure clients at SCOOT and KARE receive clinically appropriate wheelchair, seating, mobility device services along with pre and post amputation rehabilitation and prosthetic gait training. The Clinical specialist will have to work semi-autonomously in reaching the branches targets. He/she will assist the branch in achieving the overall targets and purpose of the division. 2) Specific tasks: The specific tasks of the Clinical specialist are listed below; Wheelchairs, Seating & Mobility aids Provide clinically appropriate wheelchair, seating, and mobility aids for clients Constantly provide feedback on the function, pricing, and quality of products to ensure products of highest quality is provided to SCOOT clients. Maintain all client data in a format as provided by SCOOT Participate in external and internal meetings, conferences, promotional events aimed at enhancing the profile of SCOOT as a leader in the wheeled mobility space Undertake training programs and constantly upgrade his/her skills on par with international guidelines/protocols established by bodies such as the ISWP and international seating symposiums etc. Ready to travel outreach when required to provide services to patients. Rehabilitation of amputees: Provide pre and post amputation rehabilitation and post prosthetic fitting gait training as and when required Analyses gait deviations and liaise with clinical prosthetist to address the situation Provide therapeutic management for gait related issues caused by physical reasons Maintain all client data in a format as provided by KARE Participate in external and internal meetings, conferences, promotional events aimed at enhancing the profile of KARE as a leader in the Prosthetics and orthotics space Undertake training programs and constantly upgrade his/her skills on par with international guidelines/protocols. 3) Location: The Clinical specialist will be based at SCOOT Bangalore branch 4) Reporting: The Clinical specialist directly reports to the ‘COO - clinical director’.
