As an Inventory Manager at Saree Company, located in Kolkata (Park street), your primary responsibility will be to oversee the stock management of our saree collection. You will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient inventory control, maintaining optimal stock levels, and collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to streamline inventory processes. Your key responsibilities will include maintaining accurate records of stock levels, tracking saree collections, and proactively preventing stock shortages or overstocking. Regularly inspecting stock for defects, aging, and sales performance trends, as well as closely working with suppliers, vendors, and logistics teams to ensure timely stock replenishment, will be essential aspects of your role. Additionally, you will be supervising warehouse operations to uphold proper storage conditions, labeling, and categorization, while implementing best storage practices. Coordinating with sales and retail teams to fulfill customer orders efficiently, conducting regular inventory audits, reconciling discrepancies, and generating inventory reports for management will also be part of your duties. To excel in this position, you should have proven experience as an Inventory Manager or in a similar role within the textile, fashion, or saree industry. A strong understanding of inventory control techniques, supply chain management, proficiency in inventory management software (such as Tally, SAP, or similar ERP systems), excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as strong analytical skills and attention to detail are required. Good communication and negotiation abilities are essential, and knowledge of different saree fabrics, designs, and market trends would be advantageous. This is a full-time position with a salary as per industry norms, offering day shift work hours.
