SAP BODS Support Engineer

As a skilled and proactive Data Pipeline Support Engineer, your role will involve supporting the maintenance and troubleshooting of data integration processes, focusing specifically on SAP BODS jobs and data loading to Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS). Your responsibilities will include: - Supporting and monitoring SAP BODS jobs for data extraction from SAP ECC using SAP Extractors, both standard and custom - Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to SAP ECC data extraction to ensure continuous data flow - Ensuring accuracy and efficiency of full and delta data extraction processes - Providing support for the development and maintenance of BODS jobs, workflows, and dataflows for data transformation and cleansing - Optimizing BODS job performance for large-scale data processing and minimizing job failures - Monitoring the data loading process into ADLS in various file formats (e.g., CSV, Parquet) and maintaining connections between BODS and ADLS - Performing root cause analysis and troubleshooting of data integration issues, providing timely support for production data loads - Maintaining detailed operational guidelines documentation for all deployed processes Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field - Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience supporting SAP BODS data extraction processes, troubleshooting SAP ECC data extraction, and hands-on experience with BODS job maintenance, workflows, and data flows. Proficiency in SQL and data warehousing concepts is required. Key Responsibilities: - Familiarity with flat file formats such as CSV and Parquet - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving data issues - Solid understanding of SAP ECC data structures and data extraction methodologies - Experience with monitoring tools and job performance tracking Additional Knowledge (Preferred): - Familiarity with Azure Data Factory or other Azure data integration tools - Experience with SAP BW (Business Warehouse) is a plus - Knowledge of best practices in data security and integrity for cloud-based storage solutions Key Competencies: - Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve data extraction or loading issues promptly - Attention to Detail: Ensuring data accuracy during extraction, transformation, and loading processes - Communication & Collaboration: Effective communication with technical teams for issue resolution - Adaptability: Efficiently handling production-level incidents and support requests in a fast-paced environment - Documentation Skills: Strong ability to maintain clear and accurate documentation for processes and troubleshooting steps,
