SAP BASIS Consultant

As an Infoscion, your primary role will be to actively aid the consulting team in different phases of the project, including problem definition, effort estimation, diagnosis, solution generation, and design and deployment. You will explore alternatives to recommended solutions based on research, such as literature surveys, information available in public domains, vendor evaluation, etc., and build POCs. Additionally, you will create requirement specifications from business needs, define the to-be processes, and detailed functional designs based on requirements. Supporting configuration of solution requirements on products, understanding any issues, diagnosing the root cause of such issues, seeking clarifications, and identifying and shortlisting solution alternatives are also part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will contribute to unit level and organizational initiatives to provide high-quality, value-adding solutions to customers. Key Responsibilities: - Actively aid the consulting team in various project phases - Explore alternatives to recommended solutions and build POCs - Create requirement specifications and define processes and designs - Support configuration of solution requirements and diagnose issues - Contribute to unit level and organizational initiatives Technical Requirements: - Minimum 2 years of experience in SAP Basis - Monitor and maintain SAP systems environments - Install, configure, maintain, and support multiple SAP landscapes and 3rd party tools - Perform core Basis functions like system refresh, support packs, kernels, etc. - Experience in system refreshes, restores, and working with business suite of SAP and SAP HANA - Proficiency in installing, configuring, and supporting Solution Manager - Experience in upgrades, OS, DB migrations, and Cloud solutions - Familiarity with global delivery models and willingness to work in a 24x7 support environment Additional Responsibilities: - Work with clients to identify business challenges and contribute to client deliverables - Stay aware of the latest technologies and trends - Demonstrate logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and ability to collaborate - Assess current processes, identify improvement areas, and suggest technology solutions - Possess one or two industry domain knowledge - SAP Certification will be an added advantage Infosys Ltd. is committed to ensuring you have the best experience throughout your journey with them.
