Job Title: Senior SAP ABAP Lead Consultant

Experience: 8-10 Years

Location: Bangalore

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior SAP ABAP Consultant with strong expertise in core ABAP development and a deep understanding of SAP master and transactional data models across key modules such as MM, PP, PM, WM, FI, and SD. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in integration technologies (IDOCs, BAPIs, RFCs, Web Services) and will actively engage with business users and stakeholders to deliver high-quality technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, enhance, and support SAP ABAP programs and interfaces across modules like MM, PP, PM, WM, FI, and SD.

Work on IDOCs, BAPIs, RFCs, and Webservices to support SAP integration with external systems.

Collaborate with functional teams and participate in client calls to understand business pain points and technical requirements.

Provide support for incident resolution, service requests, and change requests.

Perform debugging and performance tuning for custom developments and standard SAP issues.

Conduct root cause analysis for recurring or complex issues and provide recommendations for long-term fixes.

Have working knowledge of SAP CPI/PI interfaces and understand data flows between SAP and external systems.

Follow SAP best practices and standards in development and documentation.

Required Skills and Experience:

810 years of strong experience in SAP ABAP development.

Deep understanding of SAP master data and transaction data models in MM, PP, PM, WM, FI, SD.

Proficient in handling IDOC processing, BAPI integration, RFCs, and Web Services.

Familiar with SAP CPI/PI or similar middleware platforms and how SAP interfaces with external systems.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience in debugging, performance optimization, and troubleshooting ABAP code.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in working with GCCs, large enterprise clients, or retail/manufacturing domains.

Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.

SAP certification (preferred, not mandatory).
