The Sales & Marketing Engineer will be responsible for identifying prospective customers, presenting Encon's products and solutions, conducting techno-commercial discussions and converting business opportunities into confirmed orders.
The role requires strong communication and presentation skills, computer and internet proficiency, and the ability to travel across India to meet customers and develop business relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in manufacturing, trading and industrial sectors.
- Generate leads, conduct prospecting activities and build a strong customer network.
- Arrange and deliver product presentations to prospective customers.
- Conduct techno-commercial discussions and understand customer requirements.
- Explain product features, benefits and value propositions to customers.
- Prepare and follow up on quotations, proposals and commercial offers.
- Negotiate with customers and actively pursue opportunities to convert enquiries into confirmed orders.
- Maintain regular communication with prospective and existing customers.
- Use computers, email, internet and relevant office applications for sales coordination, documentation and reporting.
- Travel across India for customer meetings, presentations, negotiations and business development activities.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales leads, follow-ups and order status.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales and marketing within manufacturing, trading or industrial businesses.
- Strong communication skills in English, Hindi and the relevant local language.
- Good knowledge of computer operations, internet usage, email and standard office applications.
- Strong presentation, interpersonal, negotiation and customer-handling skills.
- Ability to conduct techno-commercial discussions and convert prospects into orders.
- Presentable, professional personality with a customer-oriented approach.
- Willingness to work from Encon's office at Lower Parel West, Mumbai.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India as required.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in industrial B2B sales, technical sales, engineering products or industrial equipment will be an advantage.
- Ability to independently manage customer meetings, follow-ups and sales opportunities.
- A proactive, confident and target-oriented approach to business development.
- Strong ownership, professional conduct and commitment to achieving sales objectives.
