Job Overview
- Role Purpose: Expand market share, convert freight/shipping inquiries into closed contracts, and maintain strong commercial relationships with shippers, carriers, and enterprise accounts.
- Core Focus: New logo acquisition, RFQ (Request for Quotation) conversion, rate/tariff negotiation, and team or territory leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Identify, prospect, and qualify new shippers, manufacturers, exporters/importers, and supply chain partners.
- RFQ & Proposal Management: Follow up on customer quotes, negotiate ocean/air/land freight tariffs, and convert RFQs into purchase orders (POs).
- Carrier & Pricing Collaboration: Work with internal pricing, operations, and carrier-relations teams to secure competitive freight rates and high-margin solutions.
- Account Management: Build long-term relationships with key accounts, monitor service delivery satisfaction, and drive account expansion.
- Pipeline & Reporting: Maintain accurate CRM records, track sales forecasts, and report performance metrics (KPIs) to commercial leadership.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Typically 4 to 8+ years in B2B sales, shipping, freight forwarding (Air/Ocean FCL/LCL), or logistics technology.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of customs clearance, warehousing, import/export regulations, and NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) operations.
- Core Competencies: Consultative selling, rate negotiation, stakeholder management, presentation skills, and CRM proficiency.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
Pay: ₹750,000.00 - ₹850,000.00 per year
