Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Sales Head with Modern Trade experience to lead and expand our modern trade business. The candidate will be responsible for developing sales strategies, managing key accounts, building strong relationships with modern trade retailers, achieving revenue targets, and driving business growth across organized retail channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute modern trade sales strategies to achieve revenue, volume, and profitability targets.
• Manage key accounts such as supermarkets, hypermarkets, and organized retail chains.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, category managers, and purchase managers.
• Lead negotiations for pricing, margins, promotional schemes, trade spends, and annual business agreements.
• Drive product listings, new product launches, visibility, merchandising, and in-store promotions.
• Develop annual business plans and sales forecasts for modern trade accounts.
• Monitor sales performance, market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
• Ensure effective inventory management, product availability, and timely replenishment across retail outlets.
• Coordinate with marketing, supply chain, finance, and distribution teams to ensure smooth business operations.
• Manage and develop the modern trade sales team, setting targets and monitoring performance.
• Analyze sales reports, market share, profitability, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Identify new business opportunities and expand distribution across modern trade channels.
• Ensure timely collection of payments and adherence to company policies and customer agreements.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in modern trade sales and key account management.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-management skills.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
• Strong commercial understanding of pricing, margins, trade promotions, and profitability.
• Experience managing large retail chains and organized retail accounts.
• Strong leadership, team management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, sales reporting, and CRM/ERP systems.

• Sales revenue and volume growth.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with experience handling modern trade accounts, leading sales teams, negotiating with organized retail chains, and managing large-scale sales operations will be preferred.

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year
