Job Description:We are looking for a skilled and motivated Fiber Engineer to manage the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our FTTH (Fiber to the Home) network. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with GPON/EPON technologies, fiber splicing, optical testing, and OLT/ONU configuration. Key Responsibilities:Install and maintain FTTH infrastructure including OLTs, ONUs, fiber cables, and splitters. Perform fiber splicing, connectorization, and enclosure work (Aerial & Underground). Conduct OTDR, power meter, and visual fault locator tests to ensure signal quality. Configure and troubleshoot GPON/EPON ONUs and OLT ports. Handle service calls and resolve fiber cuts, signal loss, or ONU offline issues. Maintain network documentation, fiber layouts, and splicing logs. Support upgrades from EPON to GPON/XGS-PON including ONU replacements and port migration. Work closely with NOC team to respond to alarms and performance issues. Coordinate with field teams, contractors, and local authorities as required. Requirements:Proven experience in FTTH deployment or ISP field operations (1–3 years preferred) Familiar with GPON/EPON architecture, fiber split ratios, and OLT/ONU brands like DBC, Syrotech, etc. Hands-on experience with fiber splicing and optical testing tools (OTDR, VFL, OPM) Ability to read fiber route plans and logical diagrams Good understanding of power budgets and troubleshooting optical signal issues Willingness to travel and be on call for urgent issues ITI/Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Telecom, or related field
