Retail Tiles Sales Associate Position: Retail Tiles Sales Associate Location: Indirapuram, Ghaziabad Reports to: Store Manager Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Retail Tiles Sales Associate. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design and a strong understanding of tile products, from ceramic and porcelain to natural stone. This role is responsible for assisting customers in a retail showroom environment, providing expert advice, and helping them find the perfect tiles to meet their project needs. The Sales Associate will be a key contributor to achieving sales targets and ensuring a positive and seamless customer experience from start to finish. Key Responsibilities Customer Engagement & Sales Welcome customers warmly and talk to them to understand what they need. Explain different types of tiles, their uses, benefits, and how to take care of them. Reach out to builders, contractors, architects, plumbers and businesses to create good connections and bring more sales. Help customers choose tiles color, size, style and guide them around the showroom displays. Suggest extra products like grout, adhesives, and other materials when needed. Work to achieve daily and monthly sales targets. Handle billing and payments correctly using the POS system. Product Knowledge & Showroom Maintenance Learn about the products and keep yourself updated on new tiles and materials. Keep the showroom neat, clean, and well-organized. Setting up and maintaining product displays and sample boards. Check stock regularly and inform the manager if anything is running low or missing. Coordinate with delivery & procurement of items from various vendors and teams efficiently. Customer Service & Administration Answer customer questions and handle complaints or returns politely. Coordinate with vendors for product delivery on time & end to end customer engagement. Give correct price quotes, keep track of orders, and call customers to update them. Work together with team members and managers for smooth daily operations. Help with basic office work like answering phone calls and booking appointments. Qualifications: Proven experience in retail sales, with experience in the tile, flooring, plumbing or home improvement industry being a significant plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships. Excellent sales and negotiation skills. A keen eye for design and an understanding of interior design principles. Basic math skills for calculating measurements (e.g., square footage). Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work on weekends and holidays as required by retail schedules. High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in a related field is a plus. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and move tile boxes and sample boards of moderate weight.
