As a Ruby on Rails Technical Lead at Carmatec, you will have the exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic team and work with seasoned professionals dedicated to revolutionizing the RoR development landscape. Your responsibilities will include: - Communicating and coordinating directly with clients through Skype, web meetings, and email - Analyzing client requirements and preparing technical specifications for implementations - Leading the technical implementation in projects and guiding the team - Developing products and their elements based on client specifications - Monitoring and resolving reported problems and bugs at the project level - Establishing and complying with performance metrics at the team level - Collaborating with QA leads and testers to enhance code quality and project schedule adherence - Providing technical advice on component architecture to other team members - Estimating tasks, defining detailed schedules, evaluating technologies, and contributing to design issues - Assisting in project planning, resource management, and technical aspects of development and deployment - Ensuring projects are completed to high-quality standards, on time, and within budget - Maintaining thorough documentation of task status - Scheduling and prioritizing tasks for a small team to maximize productivity and efficiency - Monitoring progress against schedule and taking proactive initiatives to meet scheduled work Your qualifications should include: - 5+ years of experience in developing Ruby applications - Ability to lead a team of developers - Analytical skills to design, develop, and support complex applications - Proficiency in designing and developing complex modules in Ruby on Rails - Technical team mentoring experience, including conducting code reviews and providing architectural oversight - Strong knowledge of Restful architecture for implementing APIs and using third-party APIs in Rails applications - Expertise in clean sheet Relational Database Design and strong SQL skills - Clear understanding of JQuery, Prototype, Ajax, and libraries - Experience with SVN or Git version control and Rake/Capistrano - Familiarity with Agile Development, TDD/TFD, and testing tools If you are interested in this role and meet the qualifications, please send your updated resume to teamhr@carmatec.com.,
