The technician will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems, cold storage units, air compressors, diesel generators, and electrical wiring systems. Prior experience in food plants or hygiene-sensitive facilities is preferred. Key Responsibilities: ๏‚ท Install, maintain, and troubleshoot air conditioning systems (split units, window ACs, ductable systems, AHUs). ๏‚ท Service and maintain refrigeration equipment such as cold rooms, deep freezers, and chillers. ๏‚ท Ensure temperature control in processing, packaging, and storage areas as per plant requirements. ๏‚ท Conduct preventive and breakdown maintenance of air compressors used in plant operations. ๏‚ท Operate and maintain diesel generator sets (DG sets) to support backup power requirements. ๏‚ท Perform electrical wiring and connections for motors, panels, and control systems. ๏‚ท Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults in utility systems. ๏‚ท Maintain service logs, preventive maintenance schedules, and breakdown records. ๏‚ท Comply with food safety and hygiene standards during all maintenance work. ๏‚ท Coordinate with the production and quality teams to minimize downtime and disruption. ๏‚ท Support maintenance during emergency repairs and plant shutdown activities. Qualifications and Experience: ๏‚ท ITI or Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or Electrical Engineering. ๏‚ท Minimum 2โ€“3 years of hands-on experience in a food plant or industrial environment. ๏‚ท Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, compressors, and electrical wiring. ๏‚ท Ability to read basic electrical diagrams and handle wiring, switchgear, and control panels. ๏‚ท Familiarity with maintenance tools, gauges, and safety practices.
