About Hakimi

Hakimi Oud & Perfumes is the retail house of A. Kaderali & Co., a Mumbai trading firm founded in 1938. The firm began in spices and herbs and grew into perfumery; Hakimi was launched in 2021 as its retail brand.

We make Arabian-quality perfumery from an Indian house: oud oils, attars, musks, perfumes and bakhoor, sold to customers in India and the Gulf.

The role

We are hiring one target-driven Sales Executive to own evening sales at our Mumbai showroom, 1 pm to 10 pm. These are the busiest hours of our day.

Your job is to turn walk-ins into buyers, raise the value of every bill, and turn first-time buyers into repeat clients. This is a selling role, not a counter role: your earnings grow with what you sell.

Key responsibilities

• Close sales: greet every walk-in promptly, understand what they want, guide them through scent trials and close the sale.
• Sell the full range: oud oils, attars, musks, perfumes, bakhoor and gift sets, matching the right size and price to each customer.
• Raise every bill: suggest add-ons, larger sizes, combinations and gift packing.
• Build your client book: with the customer's consent, record name and WhatsApp number for every buyer; follow up after purchase and invite them back for launches and festival seasons.
• Capture bulk and gifting enquiries: take full details of wedding, corporate and bulk orders and hand them over the same day.
• Bill correctly: bill every sale on the store billing system under your own salesperson code. No unbilled sales, ever.
• Respect discount limits: give discounts only within the limits set by management; any exception needs approval before the bill.
• Keep the floor ready: displays, testers and shelves full, clean and presentable through the shift.
• Know the product: notes, origin, strength and lasting power of every key fragrance.
• Report daily: close each shift with a short report of bills, sales value, walk-ins, new contacts and fast-moving stock.
• Peak seasons: extra hours during Ramadan, Eid, Milad, Diwali and wedding season, planned in advance.

How performance is measured

You will be judged on sales results, not effort. Your monthly target is given in writing at joining, with a lower target in the first two months while you learn the range.

Who we're looking for

We want a proven closer with at least 2 years of target-based retail selling.

Must have

• 2+ years in retail sales with a monthly target: fragrance, attar, jewellery, watches, cosmetics, apparel or other premium retail.
• A record of hitting targets, with numbers you can share.
• Comfortable in Hindi and Gujarati; workable English.
• Confident and persistent with customers, without being pushy; comfortable asking for the sale.
• Presentable, punctual and fully honest with cash and stock.
• At ease with a smartphone, WhatsApp and a billing screen.
• Available for the 1 pm to 10 pm shift, including weekends and festival days.

Good to have

• Knowledge of oud, attars or perfume oils.
• Arabic or Urdu, for our Gulf customers.
• An existing customer network in the area.
• Experience handling bulk, wedding or corporate gifting orders.

Shift, location and pay

Fixed pay is ₹18,000 to ₹25,000 a month, plus a monthly sales incentive with no upper limit.
