Research Scientist (Audiology & Speech Language Pathology)

• Conduct clinical assessment of patients with neurogenic dysarthria (primarily post-stroke, Parkinson’s, ALS, etc.).
• Perform standardized speech tasks (vowel prolongation, DDK, sentence reading) and perceptual evaluations using Frenchay Dysarthria Assessment (FDA).
• Collect and annotate multi-modal speech data (acoustic recordings via PRAAT/CSL, EGG, nasometry, spirometry).
• Assist in severity grading, subtype classification, and data labelling for DNN training.
• Support patient recruitment, informed consent process, and pilot/RCT therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with the AI team for model validation against clinical ratings and contribute to usability testing of the conversational agent.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, ensure ethical compliance, and assist in report/manuscript preparation.
