As an Economist, your responsibilities will include analyzing macroeconomic trends and their implications on the larger economy, building and maintaining databases and models to evaluate vast amounts of information, providing end-to-end support in research publications, ad hoc requests, and preparing PowerPoint presentations, offering economic views based on data trend analysis, and working collaboratively in a team setting while also taking leadership of projects. You will be part of a team based in Hyderabad, India, collaborating with the EM EMEA economics team located in London. The team focuses on providing views on the EM EMEA economies, macro stability risks, and their implications on various economic parameters. The goal is to be recognized as the top economics team, offering the best views and insights to navigate constantly changing markets. To be successful in this role, you should have a deep intellectual curiosity, excellent Microsoft Excel skills, a strong understanding of economics, market fundamentals, and their drivers, as well as a working knowledge of market data platforms such as Bloomberg, Macrobond, and Haver. You should be a self-starter with the ability to multitask, detail-oriented yet able to see the big picture, an excellent communicator, and highly motivated with a team-oriented approach.
