About The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an interdisciplinary Research Officer, working across the Faculties of Medicine, Health and Life Science (FMHLS), and Science and Engineering (FSE) at Swansea University. The post is funded by the EPSRC project Clot Busting, which aims to produce new technological platforms for assessing and developing new therapies to tackle blood clots. We are currently looking for individuals with skills and experience in the design and fabrication of microfluidic tools and in the development of advanced rheometrical techniques for the characterisation of complex biological materials. The post-holder will be based at the Medical School and the Department of Chemical Engineering, and will also work at the NHS interface with clinicians based at the Welsh Centre for Emergency Medicine Research at Morriston Hospital.Equality, Diversity & InclusionThe University is committed to supporting and promoting equality and diversity in all its practices and activities.
