Role Overview: As a Research Analyst at our company, you will utilize your expertise in Energy markets and derivatives, combined with strong analytical and research skills, to support the Research Team in decision-making processes. Your role will involve tracking market trends, collaborating with Financial Market Analysts, developing strategies, creating tools for quick decision-making, and continuously monitoring data points to identify opportunities for the team's growth and success. Key Responsibilities: - Track fundamental themes in global energy markets, including crude oil and refined products, and conduct scenario analysis. - Analyze physical market developments worldwide and predict upcoming trends. - Collaborate with Financial Market Analysts to understand requirements, develop applications, and provide technical solutions. - Work with Market Analysts to devise market strategies and tools for efficient decision-making. - Conduct money flow analysis to comprehend market positioning and setup. - Continuously monitor data points to detect anomalies and opportunities in the market. - Focus on enhancing team performance and knowledge base. Qualifications Required: - Graduation or Post Graduation in Economics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field. - 1-5 years of experience in European/US commodities research, swaps desk, or trading desk at a mid-sized I-Bank or Hedge Fund preferred. - Strong understanding of physical markets in Commodities/Energy markets. - Experience in Excel-based modeling and risk strategies involving futures/options/swaps. - Strong analytical skills in fundamental analysis of Commodities/Energy markets. - Proficiency in statistics, data modeling, and PCA. - Ability to take initiative, follow up on discussions, and work well in a team. - Familiarity with technical analysis and data manipulation techniques. - Prioritization skills and ability to manage users' expectations effectively.
