Job Description

The Regional Erection Manager in a steel construction company is responsible for overseeing the on-site assembly and erection of steel structures within a designated region. This role focuses on ensuring safe, efficient, and timely erection processes, managing site teams, and maintaining quality standards. Key Responsibilities Project Planning and Coordination Project Scheduling: Develop and manage detailed erection schedules, aligning with project timelines and milestones. Site Coordination: Coordinate with site managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth erection activities. Resource Planning: Plan and allocate resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to meet project needs. Operational Management Erection Supervision: Oversee the on-site erection of steel structures, ensuring adherence to designs, specifications, and safety standards. Problem Resolution: Address any issues or challenges that arise during erection, implementing solutions promptly to avoid delays. Site Inspection: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with project requirements. Team Management Team Leadership: Lead and manage erection teams, including Senior and junior engineers, foremen, riggers, and labourers, fostering a productive and safe working environment. Training and Development: Provide training and support to site teams on erection techniques, safety protocols, and equipment usage. Performance Monitoring: Evaluate team performance, providing feedback and addressing any performance issues. Safety and Compliance Safety Management: Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment on all sites. Compliance Oversight: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for potential hazards during erection. Quality Assurance Quality Control: Establish and maintain quality control procedures to ensure erection work meets required standards and specifications. Defect Resolution: Identify and rectify any defects or quality issues during the erection process. Client and Stakeholder Relations Client Interaction: Interface with clients on-site to address their concerns and provide updates on erection progress. Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to align erection activities with overall project goals. Technical Expertise Technical Problem-Solving: Provide technical expertise and guidance on erection techniques, equipment usage, and best practices.
