As a Material Estimator, your role involves calculating the required quantities of rebar for construction projects based on blueprints, drawings, and specifications. You will be responsible for performing accurate material takeoffs from construction plans, identifying the exact amount of rebar needed for each phase of the project. Your duties also include developing cost estimates for rebar materials, including labor, transportation, and handling, and preparing detailed pricing for bidding purposes. Additionally, you will review project drawings to analyze and interpret construction plans and structural drawings to determine the size, type, and quantities of rebar required. Key Responsibilities: - Calculate the required quantities of rebar based on blueprints, drawings, and specifications - Perform accurate material takeoffs from construction plans - Develop cost estimates for rebar materials, including labor, transportation, and handling - Review and interpret construction plans and structural drawings - Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and architects - Prepare detailed rebar schedules aligning with project timelines - Assess changes in project scope and adjust cost and material estimates - Utilize estimating software for data analysis and report generation Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in material estimation and takeoff quantities - Knowledge of construction project planning and cost estimation - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Effective communication and collaboration with project teams - Experience in using estimating software such as ASA Software or Excel In addition to the job responsibilities and qualifications, the company offers benefits including leave encashment, paid sick time, and provident fund.
