R&D Manager

Job Description

R&D Manager cum QA Manager (FDA Approved ) Research & Development (R&D) : Develop new formulations for cosmetics, ayurvedic, or nutraceutical products. Conduct stability studies and ensure documentation as per ICH guidelines. Optimize existing formulations for cost-efficiency, performance, and safety. Scale-up trials and technology transfer to production. Monitor market trends and competitors’ products for innovation insights. Coordinate with regulatory departments for product dossiers and license applications. Quality Assurance (QA): Establish and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) as per GMP/ISO guidelines. Review and approve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs), and other QA documents. Ensure implementation of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Conduct internal audits and coordinate third-party inspections/audits. Handle product complaints, root cause analysis, and CAPA implementation. Coordinate validation activities (process, cleaning, equipment). Monitor and maintain product quality through regular review of QA metrics. Team Management: Lead a team of R&D , QA officers/assistants. Train and mentor team members on R&D processes, quality standards, and regulatory updates. Coordinate inter-departmentally with Production, Purchase, Marketing, and Regulatory Affairs. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong technical knowledge in formulations and quality systems. Good knowledge of regulatory guidelines (GMP, WHO, FDA, ISO, AYUSH). Strong documentation and analytical skills. Leadership and people management. Effective communication and project management skills. Qualifications & Experience: M.Sc Approval form FDA Cosmetics –12 years of experience in R&D and QA in cosmetic/ayurveda industry. Experience in regulatory audits like GMP, FDA, ISO preferred.
