R&D Engineer- Lighting

As a skilled Electronics Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to design and develop cutting-edge lighting systems and components for electronic products. You will be tasked with creating circuit designs for lighting applications, such as drivers, dimmers, and controllers. Collaboration with industrial designers, mechanical engineers, and software teams will be essential to seamlessly integrate lighting solutions into various products. To ensure optimal lighting performance, you will conduct simulations and modeling, covering areas such as thermal, optical, and electrical aspects. Your role will also involve creating and testing prototypes to validate design concepts and performance metrics. Furthermore, you will play a critical role in transitioning designs from the research and development phase to manufacturing, with a focus on design for manufacturability and testability considerations. Documentation will be a key aspect of your work, requiring you to maintain detailed records of all designs, test results, and validation reports in compliance with company and regulatory standards. Staying abreast of industry trends, regulatory requirements (RoHS, CE, etc.), and emerging technologies in lighting and electronics will be crucial to your success in this role. Your qualifications should include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Additionally, you should have at least 3-5 years of experience in R&D or product development related to lighting or LED technologies. A strong understanding of LED lighting principles, thermal management, optics, and power electronics is essential. Knowledge of lighting protocols and standards such as DALI, DMX512, and PWM control will be advantageous, as well as familiarity with embedded systems and microcontroller programming.
