About The Opportunity A growing leader in industrial manufacturing and precision engineering, operating across product design, tooling, and contract manufacturing for B2B customers. We deliver end-to-end mechanical solutions—from concept and prototyping to production and quality control—serving automotive, industrial equipment, and consumer durable sectors. Primary Role Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Role & Responsibilities Lead mechanical design and product development efforts: translate requirements into 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing-ready drawings using CAD tools. Create and maintain accurate BOMs, detailed drawings with GD&T callouts, and ECOs to support production handoff and supplier communication. Perform FEA-driven validation and tolerance analysis to optimise part geometry for strength, manufacturability, and cost. Prototype components and coordinate vendor-run trials—oversee design iterations, fit-checks, and DFM improvements. Drive cross-functional collaboration with sourcing, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve production issues and implement corrective actions (DFMEA). Contribute to engineering standards, drawing templates, and PLM workflows to improve design-to-production cycle times and product reliability. Skills & Qualifications Must-Have SolidWorks AutoCAD CATIA Finite Element Analysis GD&T BOM Management Preferred Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) DFMEA ANSYS Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification. Proven experience in mechanical design, product development, or manufacturing engineering (ideally 3+ years). Proven track record delivering designs for manufacturability and working with suppliers on prototyping and production. Benefits & Culture Highlights Fully remote role with flexible working hours and outcomes-driven performance metrics. Opportunities for skill development, access to design and simulation training, and career progression in product engineering. Collaborative, engineering-first culture focused on practical innovation and continuous improvement. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented mechanical engineer who thrives on turning concepts into manufacturable products and improving production readiness. Apply if you bring strong CAD and FEA experience, a pragmatic approach to DFM, and a commitment to engineering excellence. Skills: autocad, finite element analysis, catia, product lifecycle management, solidworks, bom management
