Job Description

Role & responsibilities Mode of Interview - Face to Face We are seeking a detail-oriented and certified Medical Coder Radiology to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing and accurately assigning diagnosis and procedure codes for radiology services to ensure proper billing and compliance with payer requirements. Key Responsibilities: Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes to radiology reports including but not limited to X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, mammograms, and interventional radiology procedures. Review medical records and documentation to ensure coding accuracy and completeness. Ensure coding is compliant with federal regulations and guidelines (e.g., CMS, AHA Coding Clinic). Work collaboratively with radiologists, billing teams, and other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve documentation. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding changes, NCCI edits, payer-specific rules, and LCD/NCD guidelines. Support denial management and participate in appeals and audits as needed. Meet or exceed coding productivity and accuracy benchmarks. Requirements: Education & Experience: Any degree Minimum 25 years of experience in radiology medical coding. Certifications: Certification through AAPC or AHIMA (e.g., CPC, COC, CCS, CCS-P) is required. Skills: In-depth knowledge of radiology terminology, anatomy, and coding conventions. Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II coding. Familiarity with coding tools and software (e.g., EncoderPro, 3M, Epic, or similar). Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
