Roles and Responsiblities

• Performing Diagnostic Imaging: Radiographers operate various imaging equipment, including X-ray machines, CT scanners, and MRI machines, to produce images of the body.
• Patient Care: They prepare patients for imaging procedures, explain the process, and ensure their comfort and safety.
• Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Radiographers are responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of imaging equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and calibrated correctly.
• Image Quality: They adjust settings and techniques to obtain high-quality images that are clear and diagnostic.
• Patient Positioning: They accurately position patients for optimal imaging, minimizing radiation exposure and ensuring accurate image acquisition.
• Record Keeping: Radiographers maintain accurate patient records and file images, ensuring proper documentation of procedures and results.
• Radiation Safety: They strictly adhere to radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure to both patients and themselves.
• Collaboration: They work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
