🚀 We’re Hiring: Co-Founder & CTO (Ultrafast Lasers, frequency combs, and Quantum Tech) At QuPrayog Pvt. Ltd. , we’re building India’s first commercial indigenous femtosecond laser and frequency comb technology , with direct applications in quantum technologies, precision metrology, and advanced scientific research . Backed by the National Quantum Mission (DST, Govt. of India) via a seed fund , we’re on a bold journey to create a world-class deep-tech infrastructure right here in India. We’re looking for a visionary Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer (CTO) who is excited to push the frontiers of ultrafast laser science and turn lab innovations into real-world technology . 🔬 Essential Qualifications: PhD in Atomic & Molecular Physics, Quantum Optics, Laser Physics, Photonics, or related fields (Bonus: 1+ year of Postdoctoral experience) OR Master’s degree in the above areas and 3+ years hands-on laboratory experience. Strong hands-on expertise in designing, building, and optimizing experimental optical setups (laser spectroscopy, beam shaping, ultrafast optics). Proven ability to take ownership of projects , show leadership , and commit long-term to building a deep-tech startup. A true startup mindset — Takes initiative, is resourceful, resilient, and optimistic, and is excited to build cutting-edge technology in a high-risk, high-reward environment. 🌟 Desirable Skills: Experience in building or repairing lasers (DPSS, Ti:Sapphire, fiber lasers). Background in ultrafast (fs) lasers is a plus. Knowledge of laser stabilization (analog electronics / FPGA-based digital control). Familiarity with optical design software (Zemax, LASCAD, etc.) and CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks). Experience with Ultra-High Vacuum (UHV) systems. Prior experience leading a team of scientists, engineers, or graduate students. 💡 What We Offer: Compensation. A co-founder position with Equity.
