Quantity Surveyor

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review detailed

  Bill of Quantities (BOQ)

  , quantity take-offs, and cost estimates.
• Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents to determine material and labour requirements.
• Prepare rate analysis, cost estimates, and budget forecasts for construction projects.
• Handle client billing, contractor bills.
• Monitor project costs, identify cost variations, and implement cost-control measures.
• Manage subcontractor billing, measurement sheets, and reconciliation of quantities.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants, clients, and contractors.
• Review and evaluate tender documents, quotations, and contract terms.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual requirements, and company procedures.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of quantity surveying, estimation, and cost control.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and relevant QS or billing software.
• Good understanding of civil construction drawings, BOQ, and rate analysis.
• Experience in client billing, subcontractor billing, and contract management.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple project requirements and meet deadlines.

Preferred candidate profile

• 6 to 15 years of relevant experience in the engineering and construction industry.
• Experience in quantity surveying, estimation, billing, and cost management.
• Candidates with experience in residential, commercial, high-rise, or infrastructure projects will be preferred.
