Quant Modelling - Associate

You will be joining the Model Risk Governance and Review Group (MRGR) in Bengaluru, where you will have the opportunity to engage in new model validation activities for all Data Science models related to artificial intelligence and machine learning across the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) sector. Your primary responsibilities will include evaluating the conceptual soundness of model specifications, assessing the reliability of inputs, conducting independent testing, and providing oversight on the usage and limitations of models. Your role will involve collaborating with Model Developers, Model Users, Risk, and Finance professionals to ensure that models are used appropriately within the business context. You will also be responsible for performing additional model review activities, maintaining the model risk control apparatus, and staying updated on the latest developments in the field of Data Science. To be successful in this position, you should hold a Ph.D. or Masters degree in a Data Science-oriented field such as Data Science, Computer Science, or Statistics. Additionally, you should have 2-4+ years of prior experience in areas such as Data Science, Quantitative Model Development, Model Validation, or Technology focused on Data Science, with hands-on experience in building and testing machine learning models. A strong understanding of Machine Learning and Data Science theory, techniques, and tools is essential, including knowledge of Transformers, Large Language Models, NLP, GANs, Deep Learning, OCR, XGBoost, and Reinforcement Learning. Proficiency in Python programming and experience with machine learning libraries such as Numpy, Scipy, Scikit-learn, Theano, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, and Pandas is required. Excellent writing and communication skills are crucial for this role, as you will be expected to write scientific texts, present logical reasoning clearly, and effectively interface with various functional areas within the organization on model-related issues. A risk and control mindset, with the ability to ask incisive questions, assess materiality, and escalate issues when necessary, is also highly valued.,
