Job Description

Job Title : Quality Engineer / Quality Inspector Company: Leading commercial vehicle manufacturing company Qualification : Diploma / BE / B.Tech (Mechanical/Electrical/ Automobile/Electrical) Experience : 0-5 years in quality function (Freshers can also apply) Salary : Rs.14000 to Rs.19000 (Net) + EPF +ESIC +Canteen Job Responsibilites : 1. Inspection and Testing Conduct visual inspections and use measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMMs) to check dimensions and tolerances. Inspect components, assemblies, and finished vehicles for defects. Perform tests on raw materials and finished parts to ensure quality standards. 2. Documentation and Reporting Record inspection results accurately in checklists, reports, or digital systems. Report any non-conformities or deviations from specifications to the quality engineer or supervisor. Maintain records of test results, inspections, and other quality-related data. 3. Process Monitoring Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to company and industry quality standards. Suggest process improvements or corrective actions based on recurring quality issues. 4. Compliance and Standards Ensure all inspection and testing activities comply with ISO/TS 16949, IATF 16949, or other applicable automotive standards. Support audits (internal or external) by providing necessary documentation and inspection evidence. 5. Team Coordination Coordinate with production teams to halt or adjust manufacturing when defects are found. Provide feedback to assembly line workers or suppliers to correct defects and prevent recurrence. 6. Safety and Housekeeping Follow all safety procedures while working with inspection tools and on the shop floor. Maintain cleanliness and order in the inspection area.
