Quality Assurance Tester (API Testing)

As a Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining comprehensive test cases for Web applications and APIs. You will develop and execute smoke, functional, regression, and integration testing processes for software applications. Your role will involve designing, creating, and maintaining automated test frameworks using tools like Postman, Selenium, VS Code, Appium, Cucumber, WebdriverIO, and node.js. Collaborating closely with development and product teams to ensure testing coverage across all stages of development will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. Identifying, recording, documenting thoroughly, and tracking bugs will also be part of your daily tasks. You will be expected to perform load and performance testing using tools like JMeter and manage testing processes efficiently using GitHub, JIRA, and other DevOps tools. Contributing to continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices to enhance test automation pipelines will be crucial. Additionally, working with cloud technologies, particularly AWS, to manage testing environments will be an integral part of your role. To excel in this position, you should have a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in software testing, with a focus on automation and test framework development. Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Selenium, Postman, VS Code, Appium, Cucumber, WebdriverIO, and Node.js is essential. Experience in API testing and API test automation using Postman and Rest Assured, as well as familiarity with load and performance testing using JMeter, will be required. In-depth experience in functional test creation and test executions is also expected. You should possess familiarity with various testing techniques, knowledge of quality standards and regulations, and a strong understanding of version control systems (GitHub) and project management tools (JIRA). Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments is preferred. A detail-oriented approach with excellent problem-solving skills will be highly valued in this role. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, experience testing applications hosted in multiple geographical locations, and a good understanding of cloud technologies, especially AWS.,
