Quality Assurance Engineer /Software Engineer in Test

As a Software QA Engineer at LegalKart, you will collaborate closely with the QA and Engineering team to uphold the quality of the Company's product. Your role will involve supporting the software engineering team in the development and release of new features, as well as ensuring the continuous functionality of the existing platform. This position is based in Kolkata and there are currently 3 vacancies available. To excel in this role, you should be an experienced test analyst with 2-6 years of experience, possessing a strong background in manual testing. You should have expertise in various testing areas including functional, non-functional, system, integration, performance, and regression testing. Experience in cross-browser testing is also required. A thorough understanding of formalized QA processes and methodologies is essential, along with a degree in Computing/Information Technology or a related field. Knowledge of automation and experience with creating and running automated frameworks in tools like Test Complete will be highly appreciated. As a Software Engineer at LegalKart, you will work under the guidance of the Test Manager to devise innovative testing strategies for web-based projects and mobile apps. Your responsibilities will include analyzing new and modified functionalities to develop detailed test plans, cases, and scripts following established standards and processes. Effective communication with subject matter experts to define precise testing objectives is crucial. You will conduct manual testing, accurately document test results within project timelines, and report any defects or issues encountered during testing. Escalation of critical issues to the Test Manager and Project Team will be part of your role. Additionally, you will perform various types of testing such as functional, database, integration, and regression testing as necessary. Documenting QA practices and maintaining related documentation will also be expected. A solid understanding of relational databases, proficiency in SQL, and comfort with handling spreadsheets and large datasets are essential skills for this position.
