Role Requirement: We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer with approximately 5 years of experience in manual and automation testing. The candidate should have strong testing fundamentals and hands-on experience with Selenium to develop and maintain automated test scripts. The candidate will be responsible for validating product functionality, identifying defects, improving test coverage, and ensuring the overall quality and reliability of our software products.

Key Responsibilities:

· Manual Testing

· Analyse requirements and prepare test scenarios, test cases, and test data.

· Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.

· Identify, document, track, and verify defects throughout the defect lifecycle.

· Validate application functionality against business and technical requirements.

· Perform database validation using SQL where required.

· Automation Testing

· Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium .

· Build and maintain automation frameworks using appropriate design patterns.

· Identify suitable test cases for automation and improve regression test coverage.

· Debug automation failures and distinguish application defects from script-related issues.

· Integrate automated test execution into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.

· Collaboration & Reporting

· Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams to resolve defects.

· Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives.

· Track defects and testing activities using Jira or similar tools.

· Prepare test execution reports and communicate quality risks to stakeholders.

· Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

· 5 years of experience in software testing, covering both manual and automation testing.

· Proficiency in Python for writing automation scripts.

· Good understanding of functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.

· Experience in test case design, defect management, and root-cause investigation.

· Familiarity with Jira and Git.

· Understanding of Agile/Scrum and the software development lifecycle.

· Basic SQL knowledge for database validation.

· Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

· Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.

· Proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership and drive tasks independently.

Good to Have

· Experience with API testing using Postman.

· Familiarity with performance testing concepts.
