As a candidate for the Microfocus QTP - UFT Automation Testing role, you are expected to possess strong hands-on test automation skills primarily using UFT QTP. You should be proficient in creating UFT QTP automated scripts from scratch and enhancing existing ones. Additionally, familiarity with webservice testing and a solid understanding of SQL are considered secondary skill sets. An added advantage would be experience in Selenium automation and some background in leadership or coordination. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise and knowledge in SQL, Java, and Soap UI. You should be capable of working independently, with extensive experience in both Automation testing and Manual testing, maintaining an 80/20 balance. Your responsibilities will include writing functional, integration, and end-to-end customer workflow test automation scripts to validate product functionality and integration with dependencies. Moreover, you will be tasked with developing, modifying, and executing software test plans and automated scripts. The ability to define comprehensive end-to-end scenarios with various data variations, encompassing positive and negative scenarios, is crucial. Experience in working within an agile development process, such as Scrum or Kanban, from test design to automation and execution, is highly valued. As a candidate, you should be adept at taking ownership of initiatives, managing them end-to-end, resolving issues, mitigating risks, providing accurate status updates, and effectively communicating with developers, clients, partners, and management.
