Quality Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Performance Testing, Sanity Testing, Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Re-Testing, Database Testing, and API Testing.
• Understand and implement the Defect Life Cycle and Defect Reporting processes.
• Apply Agile Methodology in project execution.
• Conduct API Testing using Postman.
• Participate in Scrum Meetings to discuss test status reports.
• Prepare Agile Sprint Test Plans and design Traceability Matrices to map Business Requirements with Test Cases and Defects.
• Review test cases and provide feedback to team members.
• Execute SQL queries for Database Testing.
• Utilize basic LINUX commands for testing purposes.
• Use JIRA for Defect Management and Tracking.
• Design and execute test cases, and generate Test Summary Reports (TSR).
• Conduct Sanity Testing, Retesting, and Regression Testing for modified software builds.
• Communicate effectively with developers and business stakeholders to conduct defect triage and reduce defect age.
• Prepare test cases and test strategies as per Functional Specification Documents (FSD).
• Report defects and track them through JIRA.
  

Project Responsibilities

• Conduct AML (Anti-Money Laundering) testing on VKYC to prevent fraud.
• Analyze defects through logs during sanity and defect retesting on applications for all channels.
• Execute test cases on software builds and prepare daily test logs.
• Actively participate in defect triage meetings to resolve issues promptly.
• Ensure the quality of software builds through rigorous testing and defect tracking.
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience in software testing, particularly in the banking domain.
• Strong understanding of STLC and various testing methodologies.
• Proficiency in using testing tools such as Postman and JIRA.
• Experience with SQL and basic LINUX commands.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in an Agile environment and participate in Scrum meetings.
  

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a QA role, preferably in the banking domain.
• Experience with VKYC or similar projects is a plus.
  

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
