Job Title: AWS Cost Analyst (Night Shift – EST Time Zone) Department: Cloud/FinOps/IT Experience Level: 3+ years Location: Motera, Ahmedabad, WFO Job Type: Full-time About the Role We are looking for a detail-driven and highly analytical AWS Cost Analyst & Leader to join our team. This is a night shift role aligned with the Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience analyzing AWS cloud spend, is proficient in Google Sheets and complex formulas , and can communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Key Responsibilities · Monitor, analyze, and report on AWS usage and billing data using tools like AWS Cost Explorer & CUR. · Build and maintain advanced Google Sheets dashboards and models to track cloud expenses and usage trends. · Identify cost anomalies, recommend optimizations, and assist in System/Infra Team implementing strategies. · Work cross-functionally with DevOps, and Engineering teams to ensure accurate cost attribution. · Develop scripts or use automation tools to extract, clean, and analyze cloud billing data. · Ensure tagging policies and organizational standards are followed for cost accountability. · Assist in forecasting, budgeting, and monthly reconciliation of cloud spend. · Clearly communicate cost reports and findings through presentations or documentation. Required Skills & Qualifications · 3+ years of hands-on experience in cloud cost analysis, preferably in an AWS environment. · Expert-level proficiency in Google Sheets , including formulas, pivot tables, charts, and data visualization. · Strong analytical and mathematical skills; ability to work with large datasets. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain complex data clearly. · Familiarity with AWS billing tools: Cost Explorer, CUR (Cost and Usage Report), Budgets, Tags . · Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a night-shift role. Preferred Qualifications · Hands-on Experience in AWS Cost explorer & AWS Billing & Cost Managment · Experience with tools like AWS Athena & AWS CloudWatch. · Must have good experience in creating & understanding Google sheet formulas · Scripting skills (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL) for automation.
