Role Overview: You are being sought after by Flatworld Solutions to take on the role of a QA Lead in their dynamic team based in Bangalore. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Software Engineering, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the company's software products. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement testing strategies to guarantee top performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. This position requires you to have extensive experience in quality assurance, a strong understanding of testing frameworks, automation tools, and the ability to mentor team members effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Provide technical leadership and oversee high-performing QA teams, including mentoring junior team members and offering technical support to engineers. - Be responsible for the full lifecycle of application testing, from conception and design to deployment. - Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and strategies to ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of all applications. - Architect maintainable and performant test automation frameworks with effective documentation for use by other developers. - Integrate testing frameworks with CI/CD pipelines, handle complex technical issues related to software testing, and identify and adopt best practices for QA methodologies. - Collaborate with various teams to deliver the next generation of software features, ensuring consistent and high-quality user experiences. - Manage automated and manual testing protocols, communication interfaces, and test environment setups to facilitate seamless testing and deployment processes. Qualifications: - Considerable experience in QA development and proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar. - 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including generating comprehensive test plans and executing manual and automated tests. - Demonstrated experience in firmware testing and dealing with complex interactions with external devices through Bluetooth technologies. - Proficiency with back-end testing technologies and tools like Postman, JMeter, and load testing frameworks. - Strong familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, and others as required. - Experience with application updates and testing in Google Play Store and Apple App Store. - Expert understanding of version control tools like Git and experience with continuous integration. - Proficient in connecting application tests to back-end services using RESTful APIs. - Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus. - Passion for UI/UX testing and product development, with deep knowledge of UI architecture and performance testing. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
