QA Engineer

Position Overview:

QA Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Test Planning and Strategy

• Design and develop detailed test plans for new and existing products.
• Collaborate with the development, UX, and product management teams to understand product requirements and use cases.
• Define the scope, objectives, and deliverables for each testing cycle.

Test Case Creation and Execution

• Create and document comprehensive test cases based on product specifications.
• Perform manual testing of web, mobile, and desktop applications to identify bugs, issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Ensure thorough regression, functional, and integration testing is conducted.

Defect Tracking and Reporting

• Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate defect management tools.
• Report test progress and issues to higher management, ensuring transparency in project status.
• Work closely with developers to reproduce issues and ensure they are resolved in a timely manner.

Collaboration

• Work closely with the development team to understand new features and improvements.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure the product meets user expectations.
• Interact with stakeholders to provide insights into testing results and overall quality.

Automation

• Learn and adopt automation testing tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Write automated scripts for repetitive test cases, ensuring faster releases.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify and implement improvements in the testing processes and workflows.
• Keep up to date with new testing tools and methodologies to ensure testing is as efficient and effective as possible.

Required Skills:

• Manual Testing

  : Experience in manual testing of web, mobile, or desktop applications.

• Test Case Design

  : Ability to write clear, comprehensive, and detailed test cases.

• Bug Tracking Tools

  : Experience with bug tracking and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, Trello).

• Collaboration

  : Strong communication and teamwork skills to work with cross-functional teams.

• Problem Solving

  : Good analytical skills and attention to detail to detect defects and resolve issues.

• Automation:

   Knowledge and hands-on experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and familiarity with CI/CD processes.
• Basic scripting or programming knowledge for future automation initiatives.
