Job Description: Manual QA Tester

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Manual QA Tester to test web applications, identify defects, and ensure software quality. The ideal candidate should have experience in manual testing, test case execution, bug reporting, and basic knowledge of SQL and API testing using tools such as Postman.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and application specifications to understand testing needs.
• Design, write, and execute manual test cases and test scenarios.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and user interface testing.
• Identify, document, and report software defects with clear reproduction steps.
• Retest reported bugs and verify fixes before closure.
• Perform API testing using Postman to validate responses, status codes, and request parameters.
• Use SQL queries to verify database records and validate application data.
• Maintain test cases, test execution reports, defect logs, and other testing documentation.
• Collaborate with developers and other team members to investigate and resolve issues.
• Participate in test planning, requirement reviews, and software quality improvement activities.
• Ensure applications meet defined quality standards before release.

Candidate Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in manual software testing or quality assurance.
• Graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent discipline.
• Understanding of manual testing methodologies and software testing life cycle (STLC).
• Experience writing and executing test cases.
• Knowledge of bug reporting, defect tracking, and retesting.
• Basic understanding of SQL queries and database validation.
• Familiarity with API testing fundamentals and Postman.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with development teams.

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
