As a Senior QA Automation Engineer (Backend) at GlobalLogic, you will be responsible for designing and implementing automation frameworks from scratch using Python (Pytest). Your strong expertise in Python, API Testing (Postman, RestAssured), and Database Testing (PostgreSQL, MySQL) will be crucial in performing Backend Testing, including API/Webservices/ETL testing. Collaborating with developers and QA teams, you will ensure high-quality releases by contributing to test strategy, design, and execution for backend applications. You will also integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab CI) to streamline the testing process. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and build automation frameworks from scratch using Python (Pytest). - Perform Backend Testing including API/Webservices/ETL testing. - Conduct API Testing with Postman and automate REST APIs (Postman, RestAssured). - Work with PostgreSQL (mandatory) and write/optimize SQL queries for DB validations. - Contribute to test strategy, design, and execution for backend applications. - Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab CI). - Collaborate with developers and QA teams to ensure high-quality releases. **Qualifications Required:** - Strong expertise in Python & Pytest - Experience in API Automation (Postman, RestAssured) - Proficiency in Database Testing - PostgreSQL (mandatory) / MySQL (optional) - Hands-on experience in ETL Testing - Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI) At GlobalLogic, you will experience a culture of caring, continuous learning, and development opportunities.
