Python Application Engineer

Role Overview: You will be joining the dynamic engineering team at ReKnew to contribute to building the next generation of Data, AI, and Agentic applications. As an experienced Python Application Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and deploying high-performance Python-based applications and microservices. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a team of experts in enterprise technology, data, analytics, AI, digital, and automation. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and deploy high-performance Python-based applications and microservices/APIs for the Data & AI/Agentic application suite. - Collaborate closely with data engineers, data scientists, and AI engineers to bring sophisticated applications and intelligent agent workflows into production. - Implement robust data validation and serialization using frameworks like Pydantic to maintain data integrity across systems. - Build and maintain reliable applications and REST APIs using the FastAPI framework for low-latency and high-throughput web server performance. - Containerize and orchestrate services with Docker for consistent development, testing, and production environments. - Implement professional-grade logging and monitoring for operational visibility and fast troubleshooting. - Develop database interaction layers with SQLAlchemy (ORM) for efficient and secure data persistence. - Collaborate on architectural decisions, documentation, code reviews, and setting best practices for Python development. - Participate in demos, presentations, and training sessions as required. Qualification Required: - 3+ years of professional experience in a similar role with expertise in modern Python and object-oriented programming best practices. - Deep knowledge of Pydantic for data modeling, validation, and settings management. - Strong understanding of web servers, HTTP protocols, and building high-performance services with frameworks like FastAPI. - Proven track record in building resilient RESTful APIs and documenting them. - Extensive experience with SQLAlchemy for efficient database operations and schema management. - Proficiency in containerization using Docker, structured logging, and basic monitoring strategies. - Familiarity with templating engines like Jinja for front-end or internal tooling needs. - Expertise in managing source code with Git/GitHub, building code with VSCode, and developing tests using PyTest.
