Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement operations and develop strategic sourcing plans for transformer manufacturing.
• Oversee procurement of CRGO steel, copper, aluminium, transformer oil, insulation materials, bushings, tap changers, and other critical components.
• Drive cost optimization through commercial negotiations, competitive sourcing, and long-term vendor development.
• Establish and maintain strategic supplier relationships, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and competitive pricing.
• Plan material procurement in coordination with Production, Planning, Stores, Quality, and Engineering teams.
• Monitor procurement budgets, inventory levels, market trends, and supplier performance.
• Lead and manage the Purchase team, ensuring efficient processes and timely execution of procurement activities.
• Develop procurement MIS, cost analysis, and vendor performance reports for management review.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, approval processes, and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• MBA or postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain / Materials Management will be an added advantage.

Experience

• 13+ years of experience in Purchase / Procurement, including managerial responsibilities.
• Mandatory experience in a Transformer Manufacturing Company.
