Purchase Manager in the Automation Department, Water Meter, Light Meter site installation on Power project/Govt Tendor project who handFles procurement for light & water meter fittings at project sites

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager to manage procurement activities, vendor relationships, price negotiations, cost optimization, & timely material availability.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end procurement & purchasing activities.

- Identify, evaluate, develop reliable vendors & suppliers.

- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, & delivery schedules.

- Obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements, & issue purchase orders.

- Ensure timely delivery of materials while maintaining quality & cost efficiency.

- Coordinate with project, stores, warehouse, & finance teams for material requirements.

- Monitor inventory levels, pending orders, & supplier performance.

- Maintain purchase records, invoices, & procurement reports.

- Lead the purchase team & ensure compliance with procurement policies.

Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelors degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.

- 815 years of experience in purchase, procurement, or supply chain management.

- Strong negotiation, vendor management, & cost-control skills.

- Proficiency in MS Excel & purchase documentation.

- Experience in electrical products, cables, wires, meters, pipes, fittings, instrumentation, or automation materials will be an added advantage.
