Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive and result-oriented Purchase Manager to manage supplier sourcing & procurement operations. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring competitive pricing, timely order fulfilment and timely resolution of escalations. Team leading experience is must.

Key Responsibilities

• Sourcing & Procurement: Source MEP consumables (Electrical, plumbing, Carpentry etc), office supplies and other facility-related products from OEMs / authorized distributors.
• Team Management: Lead and manage a team of 4–5 people, ensuring efficient procurement operations and timely completion of tasks.
• Price & Credit Negotiations: Negotiate competitive purchase rates, payment terms and credit periods with suppliers to improve margins and working capital.
• Rate Contracts: Negotiate and establish rate contracts with key suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and consistent availability for repetitive purchases.
• Timely Dispatches: Ensure timely deliveries by suppliers as per customer requirements and committed delivery schedules. Proactively follow up on delayed orders.
• Escalation Management: Resolve product-related escalations from client sites, including quality issues, incorrect materials, shortages, replacements and supplier-related delays.
• Supplier Performance: Build strong supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance on pricing, quality, availability and delivery commitments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline; a qualification in supply chain, commerce or operations will be an advantage.
• 7 – 10 years of experience in procurement or purchase operations, preferably in MEP consumables, electrical supplies, facility management supplies or office supplies.
• Experience in supplier negotiations, rate contracts and credit-term negotiations.
• Good team management, coordination and follow-up skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability and a customer-oriented approach.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and purchase management systems or ERP software.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• RFQ conversion rate
• Timely Order execution including replacements
• Timely RFQ submission
• Reduction in product-related customer escalations and resolution time.
• Team productivity and operational efficiency.

Ideal Candidate: A hands-on purchase professional who can manage a small team, negotiate effectively with suppliers and ensure that customer orders are fulfilled on time at competitive prices.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
