Role Overview: As a Technical Project Engineer at Hitachi Energy, you will be responsible for a range of engineering disciplines including electrical, mechanical, chemical, civil, structural, automation, and software engineering. Your key activities will involve discipline engineering and design, planning, risk assessments, and coordination of resources such as personnel and equipment. Key Responsibilities: - Select and prescribe appropriate ratings (power, voltage, current) for equipment - Develop power supply system architecture and sizing calculations for Substation & Traction Power Supply system - Attend discussions with customers and internal stakeholders, and conduct site visits as required - Perform technical vetting of equipment offered as per project requirements and ensure compliance with local Grid Requirements - Prepare Tender stage Single Line Diagram, Layouts, and Bill of Quantities for Estimation Purpose - Execute Engineering in coordination with project Manager, Supply Chain Management, and other internal and external stakeholders - Handle complete Electrical Engineering for Substation, including the preparation of Single Line Diagram, Layout Plan & Sections, and related drawings - Carry out various sizing calculations on substation design such as Instrument Transformer sizing, Short Circuit Force calculation, Sag-tension calculation, DSLP calculation, Earthing Calculation, HT & LT cable sizing calculation, illumination design, battery & charger sizing, relay setting calculation, etc. - Co-ordinate with equipment vendors & package vendors, review vendor drawings, and submit them towards customer approval - Collaborate with Civil & Structure Team for related Engineering - Engage in Tender stage Engineering involving review of specifications, preparation of pre-bid queries, tender stage drawings, and Bill of Material - Uphold Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for your actions and caring for colleagues and the business Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering with a minimum of 8-10 years of relevant work experience - Experience in E-Mobility / Traction Application domain is an added advantage - Proficiency in Auto CAD, Revit, BIM, CDEG & Microsoft Office software skills - Proficiency in both spoken and written English language is required Note: Hitachi Energy offers accessibility assistance or accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities.
